Janko Misic
Janko was born in Skugric, Bosnia, Yogoslavia on September 21, 1937. He received his B. Sc. Degree from the University of Zagreb in 1968. Janko moved to Edmonton to pursue further education, receiving his Doctorate from the University of Alberta in 1974. In 1979, Janko initiated his own consulting engineering firm, Techna-West Engineering Ltd. Under his leadership, over the next 25 years, the company grew to an internationally recognized company of over 70 staff. In 2006, Techna-West Engineering was purchased by Jacobs Engineering. In 2007, Janko retired from Jacobs. In 2009, Janko continued to provide invaluable guidance and lend his experience in the formation of DynaWest Engineering , with a few of his professional colleagues. Janko has a special presence and his life philosophies and business ethics were and continue to be an inspiration and the foundation of DynaWest Engineering
Rolly Marcos
Rolly was born in La Paz, Tarlac province in the Philippines on December 3, 1946. He received his B. Sc. Degree from Feati University in 1970. Rolly worked for a few years in the Philippines before moving to Canada to pursue his career. He worked for Abugov & Sunderland Architects, assisting with the development of Kingsway Garden Mall and West Edmonton Mall. Rolly worked with Wayne Scott Architects, overseeing the design of the IPL (Enbridge) Tower as well as Beaver Hills House Park. As part of his work on the Beaver Hills House park, Rolly was introduced to Janko Misic. In 1980, Rolly became a key figure in the development and success of Techna-West Engineering. In 2008, Rolly retired from Jacobs Engineering. In 2009, Rolly became one of the key founders of DynaWest Engineering. Rolly’s warm compassionate nature made him the patriarch of our DynaWest family. His legacy will be his honesty, the respect he has shown to all employees, his courage and perseverance and his generosity and compassion.
Jack Van Delden
Jack was born in Arnhem, Netherland on January 6, 1944. His family moved to Guelph Ontario in 1957. Jack received his Mechanical Engineering Diploma from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in 1969. He began his career with Inco Metals, including Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisor. Jack oversaw a 28MW powerhouse expansion in Guatemala, Central America. In 1974, Jack began his services with Inland Cement Company. He filled various roles within this organization over the thirty years of service including Maintenance Superintendent, Production Superintendent as well as Assistant Plant Manager. Jack and Janko met during his role as Plant Superintendent at Inland’s Edmonton operations. After his retirement from Inland, Jack worked closely with Janko at Techna-West Engineering, providing his Project Management and Construction Management expertise. DynaWest Engineering benefited from Jack’s confident, professional and rational approach; making Jack a strong leader for our company. He was a trusted advisor whose presence and ongoing support is key to DynaWest Engin’eering's success today.
