ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - 1
Summary
The Controls System Engineer position ties multiple engineering disciplines together. Applicant expected to have a strong mechanical aptitude to understand the control requirements for complex mechatronic systems.
Must be a self-starter, using exceptional problem-solving skills, ingenuity and sound engineering principles to create new, world class automation products
General Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with Engineering group and customer to determine requirements for projects.

Communicate and work closely with manufacturing and engineering departments to meet objectives and milestones
-
Implement machine controls systems using various PLC Platforms using IEC 61131-3 standard languages. Primarily structed text.
-
Experience commissioning open & closed loop Variable Frequency Drives/ Inverters
-
Design industrial control panels to relevant North American standards((CEC PART 1&2, UL508A, NFPA 70, NFPA 79)
-
Design and execute test plans/procedures to verify reliability and machine safety. Analyze results and deliver findings to relevant parties.
-
Design, Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication networks with a variety of physical media and communication protocols.
-
Commission and support custom and production equipment.
-
Provide customer support as required.
Skills and Abilities
-
Application development experience in various object oriented languages. Preference to industrial application development in the IEC61131-3 languages or other PLC/SCADA development.
-
Strong communication network background
-
Windows (10 & 7 Embedded, CE7) system administration experience
-
Strong electrical design skills with attention to detail
-
Experience with electrical instrumentation equipment
-
Continuous learning of new technologies as required.
-
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
-
Possess well-developed troubleshooting skills, to quickly diagnose issues over email, phone. Provide excellent customer service as required
Qualifications
-
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline (Computer, Electrical, Mechatronics).
-
Registered with APEGA as a Member in training or as a Professional Engineer
· Legally able to travel to and from the United States of America

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
